Shipping, Returns & Exchanges


Free Exchanges: To receive a different size or color, please select "Start a Return" and then Select "Replace with the same item". Exchange shipping is free and you will receive a pre-paid label, please be sure to follow all instructions. Your exchange will be processed when received and inspected at our warehouse. 

Returns:  Each returned product will be subject to a $4.95 return shipping fee for a pre-paid label provided by Nootkas. If you purchase postage on your own, you will not be charged the return shipping fee.

Return Window:  You have 30 calendar days from the date you receive your product to return an item. Products returned after 30 days will receive a store credit. In the case of gifts, we may extend this period at our discretion.

When you select to use our Pre-Paid Label, you will be provided with a pre-paid return label that can be printed at home, and the $4.95 per unit shipping fee will be deducted from your refund.  

Note: Items discounted over 25% from their original price will not be eligible for free return shipping and the customer must provide their own shipping label.

Returns of promotional products or discounted products: 

If an item was purchased with promotional pricing terms is returned, the amount refunded may be less than the amount paid under the promotion pricing terms. 

Here are some examples:
  • Buy One, Get One Free: If either item is returned, the return value will be equal to the original purchase price reduced by its prorated discount.
  • Add an Item and take a % off your entire order: If any part of qualifying order is returned, the order may no longer qualify for the promo pricing. Any amount refunded will be equal to the original purchase price reduced by its previously applied discount.

Returns Process & Terms

Returns that use a pre-paid label provide by Nootkas will be subject to a $4.95 fee for shipping and processing for most products. Nootkas reserves the right to charge more for returns if additional shipping fees are incurred by customer.

To receive a prepaid return label: Click here. You will need to enter your order number, email address and follow the instructions on the returns page. 

For International returns (i.e. from outside the United States), the purchaser is responsible for the return shipping cost and any applicable duties and/or taxes. Do not use the online return portal; please email customer service.

To be eligible to return a product:

The product must be unworn and in original condition. We suggest trying on your slippers and walking around on a carpeted area or rug to keep them clean. All returns and refunds are subject to inspection to determine if they are in original condition and are correct. If returned items are not received in original, re-sellable condition, an additional $30 restocking fee (for a total of $34.95) will be deducted from your refund amount. 

Defective products: 

Please note: Our wool slippers are a handmade product. There will be some normal variations in workmanship. If you believe you received a damaged or defective product please email us within 2 days of receipt and provide photos of the damage. We offer a full warranty against manufacturers defects for normal use for 90 days. We cannot accept returns or refund requests for worn or used products that have sustained damage as a result of being worn outdoors or outside of normal use expectations. 


Once your return is received, it will be inspected and if approved, your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within 3-5 business days. Please note: this timeline often depends on your credit card company. Gift card refunds are applied instantly and credited to the original gift card so that it may be reused.

Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.  Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted. If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at

Gift Cards & Gift Card Returns

Gift cards are emailed to the email address entered during checkout and are applied to the account associated with that email address. 

Gift cards are not refundable and are not redeemable for cash value. 

To redeem a gift card, enter the code from your gift card email into the "discounts or gift cards" field at checkout. If a balance remains due after the gift card balance is applied, you will need to select an additional payment option.

Returns and exchanges for purchases with a gift card or multiple payment options: Please follow the normal returns process and select "Refund Original Payment Method." When your return or exchange is received at our warehouse, we will approve the refund. At that time you will be notified via email that your refund has been processed and the gift card amount applied to that purchase will be refunded to your gift card balance instantly. You may then reuse the gift card using the original gift card code. If a remaining refund balance is due to you, it will be applied to your other payment method in 3-5 business days, but may be longer depending on your bank.

Domestic Shipping Policy: Continental US Shipping rates & delivery estimates

We cannot guarantee shipping or delivery times for any shipping method. We do not provide refunds or re-ship products due to shipping delays, incorrectly delivered packages, or stolen packages. If your package is marked as delivered, but you don't have it, please check with neighbors and/or do the following:

  • USPS delivery vehicles use GPS that can automatically update a package as "delivered" prematurely. Please wait another 1-2 business days, as the package could have been marked as delivered by mistake, and will arrive the following day.
  • Contact your local USPS post office. Make sure you contact your LOCAL post office in your zip code, and not the USPS hotline. Your local post office will be able to provide quicker, and better service. Ask who delivered the package, and ask for the details of that day's delivery. 
  • If the package still does not show up, please call USPS to file a claim. Nootkas cannot reimburse OR re-ship orders that were mis-delivered by the post office or stolen from a property. Once a package is marked as delivered it becomes the responsibility of the recipient. Nootkas is not able to provide more information on tracking or delivery beyond what you receive with your tracking number. Thank you for understanding!

All orders are processed within 2-3 business days. Orders are generally not shipped on weekends or holidays.

If we are experiencing a high volume of orders, shipments may be delayed by a few days. Please allow additional days in transit for delivery. If there will be a significant delay in shipment of your order, we will contact you via email or telephone. We cannot guarantee shipping or delivery times for any shipping method. We do not provide refunds based on shipping delays.

Shipment confirmation & Order tracking

You will receive a Shipment Confirmation email once your order has shipped containing your tracking number(s). The tracking number will be active within 24 hours

Customs, Duties and Taxes

Nootkas is not responsible for any customs and taxes applied to your order. All fees imposed during or after shipping are the responsibility of the customer (tariffs, taxes, etc.).


Nootkas is not liable for any products damaged or lost during shipping. If you received your order damaged, please contact the shipment carrier to file a claim.

Please save all packaging materials and damaged goods before filing a claim.

International Shipping
