These are REALLY comfortable slippers, that run true to size. Being made of felted merino wool I expected them to be warmer, but they are still ok by me. Merino breathes really well, so the fact that they aren't as warm as I expected/hoped means they can be worn for three seasons (if not year round). I have taken them out for a handful of short end of day potty break walks with my dog, and the wear is noticeable. They're billed as "house shoes" so they aren't really meant for sidewalks, but I would give these 5 stars if the sole was just a little more durable.
If I could give 10 stars I would. 5 for the product and 5 for customer support!I am the barefoot queen... Hate shoes! However I live in a house in snow country that has hardwood floors. Feet get pretty chilly. Ive resorted to wearing socks but get too warm and end up with socks all over the place. These slippers are very close to being barefoot and I can slip them in or kick them off easily.Initially they did not confirm to my feet just right. Sorta felt like I had them on the wrong feet (I didn't). I reached out to Nootkas customer service. I told them up front that I planned to keep this but asked if they would shape to my feet. I received a response within 24 hours . Was assured they would conform to my feet BUT in the event they didn't they would replace them to include a different size if needed. Obviously didn't need that as they did shape to my feet.
These slippers/house shoes/whatever you want to call them are wonderful. I always have issues with my feet getting overly warm -- or at least I used to. These slippers do not overheat my feet, but keep them just the right temperature. They take a little time to break in -- I legit thought I had them on the wrong feet -- but once they do they are perfect!
